Fabrication QC Calculators

Fast pass/fail checks for the numbers your QC actually turns on. You enter the measurements; the standard limits are shown and stay editable, so nothing is assumed. To keep a record of a result, use the tempering or IGU sealing QC log.

Insulating glass unit checks

Dew point, gas fill, and seal edge bite. Default limits reference ASTM E2190 and common practice; change them to match your own spec.

Dew point

Enter value
Pass when the measured dew point is at or below the limit (drier is better). A rising dew point over time signals seal failure.

Gas fill

Enter value
Pass when the measured argon or krypton concentration meets or exceeds your minimum. Initial fill specs are commonly around 90%, but enter the figure your project or standard requires.

Secondary seal edge bite

Enter value
Use the same units on both fields. Required edge bite depends on unit size, application, and the sealant manufacturer, so enter your own value.

These calculators compare the values you enter against the limits you enter. Default limits cite ASTM E2190 and C1048 for reference only; confirm the governing standard, project specification, and sealant or furnace manufacturer requirements before releasing product. Results are not a substitute for qualified inspection.
